Jayme Sperring spent the first half of his 16-year professional career in with National Oilwell Varco, serving in various commercial leadership roles across multiple business lines such as rig equipment, downhole drilling, completions, and intervention technologies. Following NOV, Jayme spent 2012-2015 as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Scientific Drilling International, before co-founding Rubicon Oilfield International (a global oilfield product manufacturer) in July 2015 as its Chief Commercial Officer. Jayme departed Rubicon in July 2019 and spent a year of immersion with family, business consulting and entrepreneurship. Since June 2020, Jayme has happily joined the leadership team with Varel Energy Solutions and is responsible for co-leading the global commercial strategies and executive management as well as guiding the sales execution, business development, product management and the delivery of strategic marketing within the enterprise.
As a strategist, consistently focused on delivering bottom line results with an innate ability to solve complex business challenges and understand customer needs, Jayme is known as a trusted advisor and key contributor within executive leadership teams, recognized for creativity, accountability and the ability to make breakthrough and often difficult decisions. Jayme Sperring holds two degrees in Business Management and Economics from Rice University and is active in the Houston oil & gas communities as well as on various boards within non-profit organizations in Texas. Jayme is married with two children and is an outdoor enthusiast with a passion for hunting, fishing and nature conservation.
